Ryan gave up the cleaning up.

Ryan trying to help me clean up.

It was static charged packing. Everyone was covered with them.

Alex, Ryan and Andy in the box, Seany off by himself playing with packing peanuts.

Sean playing with the christmas bells -- the jingle, very entertaining.

Ryan, Sean, an unsure Andy, Santa, and Alex. When asked if he would see Santa, Andy said, "No, Mommy, Santa's too bussssy!" Apparently Andy was wrong.

Ryan playing with the ice bits, scrapped from the window.
Sean checking out the view from the frosty window.

Andy is 3

My beautiful, bossy, darling baby is 3! I can't think of him as a baby anymore. I was remembering his birth, the complications after and the fear of never getting to know him and he's fabulous!, bringing him home from the hospital with his bili-box and so worried he wouldn't feel loved because we couldn't hold him, he had to stay in his box. And that on Christmas Day, we felt if they weren't so worried we had to take him out for another daily blood screening, he could stay box free! And finally, we had the pleasure of holding our sweet Andrew as long as we wanted, as long as he needed.

Today will fly by in a series of events -- cleaning the minivan, cleaning the kitchen, vaccuuming; packing the car with blankets, coats, gloves, mittens, snacks, drinks, etc; attending the 1st grade play in which Alex one of 75 stars; changing in great speed to long johns and jammies, piling in the car and going to Heber Valley for the POLAR EXPRESS. Andy's not totally sure about it and excited none the less. Alex said that even though he knows the guy on the train isn't the REAL Santa Claus, he still wants to go and have fun!

In other news, our washing machine is broken and though we bought the extended warranty to keep it in good repair, they won't be out until Friday. Home Depot's Extended Warranty call center exists in some other country where the reps don't understand most english and couldn't care less about you or your problem. I'm going to consider all future appliance purchases at other retailers.

Happy Wednesday,
Kathryn

PS Thanks to all who wished Mark a happy birthday. Although he some how found out I organized it, he was still very happy to have so many well wishes.

Andy was loving the day especially his new "Lightning MaaaQueen".

Daddy and Ryan working together.
Not wanting to be left out of the liquor jokes, Ryan than has a go as Seany wrestles with some yummy Kahula!

A true Devlin man in training! T-Shirt, jeans, and a bottle of vodka -- does it get any more Irish than that?!
