Recent events

Today, I was reminded by Alex just how large my midsection is getting. He was drawing pictures on the driveway. First, he wrote his name and Andy's. Then he drew a stick picture of himself. This stick figure was followed by another, mine. He drew a head and stick body, the went back to the belly, where he added a huge circle 3-4 times the size of the head, inside the circle he drew 2 smaller stick figures -- representing Sean & Ryan.

Andy has become quite a force in his own right. On Wednesday, Alex and I were stripping the beds of their sheets to be washed (as we do every week). As Andy's Bob the Builder sheets were removed from his bunk, he became distressed saying, "My Ba, My Ba" and kept putting the sheets back onto his bed.

He usually takes his nap on my bed with me in the afternoon. On morning while Alex was at school Andy got restly and went upstairs. I could hear him in the babies' room taking all the books off the crib (we need to organize). But, I felt it was not worth the time to go up the stairs. Andy was then quiet. When it was time to meet Alex at the bus stiop, I went upstairs. Andy was sleeping in the middle off all the books.

Andy also seems to understand that there is something going on with my belly and it has something to do with babies. Last night, during a reading fest -- when I lay down to read, Andy often finds me and turns up with many, many of his own books. I asked where his belly was. He patted my belly and said, "Baby."
