The twix are 1 year old, effective yesterday! I'm very proud of them. They've made it to the magical first birthday. We're having a big party for their big accomplishment, also as a way to thank our friends, neighbors,a nd family for all the help during the bed rest, hospital stays (and there were plenty), and general twin chaos.
Monday, my father-in-law was here. After Alex's first day of school ended, we went to the zoo. Its much nicer in 70 degree weather then the 2 previous visits in 100+ heat. I actually enjoyed it. Andy is especially fond of the giraffees. I told him that we had to be very quiet in their feeding room per sign on door. He agreed and whispered at the top of his lungs for the remainder of the giraffee experience. "Mommy, Mommy, I see raffssss."
We celebrated the actual day with a trip to IHOP and ice cream after. Alex enjoyed singing Happy Birthday, though Andy looked at us like we were a bunch of lunnies. Sean and Ryan were smily. Though Sean didn't go for the ice cream. He's more of a fruit yogurt man.
