Mark's company Christmas party was at the Grand American in SLC. Beautiful hotel, fabulous ballrooms, yummy eats, good band, unfortunately for us non-lds though no wine with dinner. A guy at our table had to chase down a waiter so we could have grape juice with dinner or refilled water. But it was delicious grape juice. Reminded me of that Ariel brand (non-alcoholic) in Cali.
The company, Prosper Learning, announced that they are going global with Prosper University in the new year and that each employee can go through the program in 2009 -- I can't wait for Mark to do it. Get us on the road to becoming debt free, though our only debt is our mortgage and medical bills as they come up. Mark can give info on the programs available to anyone interested. Leave a comment or email me.
The party was very fun. The dancing would have been fun had I not 'injured' my leg a week before. (Ten days later, that burst blood vessel is still killing me.) They had a performance by someone who was on So You Think You Can Dance? Chelsea High-something (maybe Hightower?), daughter of one of Mark's employees. She should have won. I don't see how she didn't -- she was excellent.
They had some cool door prizes -- lots of gift cards to various restaurants and electronics stores, a hotel stay, and a Wii with some Guitar Hero thingy. As the party gifts, they gave delicious caramel chocolate apples. Much better than the 15 cent Santa dog tags Myfamily gave one year.
Thanks Prosper for a fun evening out!
