A kinder gentler Mommy

Andrew: "Mommy why are you being so nice to us?"

Mommy: "What do you mean?"

Andrew: "Well, after we took Daddy to the airport, you let us go to Artic Circle and have corndogs and ice cream AND play at the playground. AND today you let us have as many cinnamon rolls we wanted. AND you said we could go somewhere FUN today."
(When Sean and Ryan heard airport, they immediately started twirling screaming 'airpain' and 'wooshing' around the kitchen.)

Mommy: "I'm trying to make a rainy day with no Daddy at home fun for you guys."

Andrew: "Well, how about we go bowling."

Mommy sighed: "Bowling is too much work for 1 parent. Too many heavy balls and trying to allow Ryan to help me...No, I don't think so. The dollar theatre has Space Chimps."

Andrew: "No, I don't think so. That's not going to be my favorite movie."

Mommy: "We could just have fun at home?"

Andrew: "Maybe you'll come up with a good idea after naptime."

Mommy: "OH MY GOSH! Alex has a football game at 12:30!"

Andrew: "Mommy. It is raining. They don't have games in the rain."
