Today after dropping Alex off, we went to the park and then the library.
At the park, Seany likes to play a game of the big spiral slide. He sneaks down while I pretend not to see him. Then as soon as we make eye contact I scoop him up and spin him once in the air. He giggles frantically and we repeat and repeat.
Andrew wanted to get in on the action and then Ryan too. So I spun, twirled, and such for the better part of 45 minutes. At one point another little boy said to his mom, "Why don't you do that?"
After a bit we walked down to the library. Where the grouchy librarian was standing watch over the computer left at toddler level. "No little boys can touch this." I really feel like saying, "than move it up."
During story time, they did shapes and the Wheels on the Bus song. Seany was very confused because he knows all the signs for the song so when the lyrics and hand movements changed to accommodate shapes, he was at a loss.
They very happily chose their new books and we made our way home. It was actually quite a good morning for us.
